Palin May Run To Hold Off Bachmann
Seems some think Palin may feel like she has to run to make sure her position in the Republican Party is not taken by Michelle Bachmann. Now that is a great reason to run for President – not. Please note this is all speculation not based on statements by the Palin group.
Also, Palin is facing two national releases this week. The first is the release of her official emails by the State of Alaska. The second is the nationwide release of a “documentary” about her “The Undefeated” to pay per view.
Romney Continues To Lead The Pack
Polls continue to show Romney as the most competitive Republican against President Obama in the field to date. Romney continues to defend the health care plan he signed into law in Massechuets that is similar to the Affordable Care Act. Romeny has also selected a position on climate change that is different than other major players. Romney agrees that climate change is real but says he does not feel the need to do anything about it.
Pawlenty Announces An Economic Plan
Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty outlined an economic plan that he believes can create at least 10 years of sustained growth of 5% per year. His plan is based on tax cuts and eliminating any government program that can be supplied by the private sector. To determine if a private sector supplier is available, Pawlenty purposes using Google.
As Bruce Bartlett and others point out, achieving such high levels of sustained growth is unprecedented.
