This is the latest “scandal” uncovered by Open Secrets. Our elected officials bought gas from BP and Citgo stations. Really, really? Many if not all of these stations are independently owned. Did the folks at Open Secrets really think our elected officials should boycott the local independent business owners? Ridiculous. I’m sure that the staff at Open Secrets has better things to do.
